The Norwegian Council of Concrete Competence (BOR) shall help to create a vigorous, dynamic and competent concrete industry, with the right skills at all levels. The Council shall help to standardise initial and continuing education courses relating to concrete and the process of documenting training and qualifications. The Council has appointed technical committees to provide advice and supervise in conjunction with: drawing up guidelines; implementing and checking qualification requirements; training staff in the concrete production, precast concrete products and contracting industries; and concrete repair and associated activities.
The Council issues competence certificates within the relevant classes in accordance with requirements specified in standards.
It has asked Standards Norway to assess whether its proposed requirements for issuing the certificates in question satisfy the intention of the standards.
Standards Norway has confirmed that the Council’s proposed requirements and system for awarding certificates is consistent with the intentions of the relevant standards.
