Aggregate production
The production and conformity control of aggregates is regulated by NS-EN 12620. This standard does not establish specific qualification requirements for the person who quality controls the products. Nevertheless, the association for the Norwegian Mining and Quarrying Industries participates in the Norwegian Council of Concrete Competence in order to ensure that quality control and production staff receive appropriate training. The course that has been developed also covers testing aggregates for asphalt and hardcore. The Norwegian Council of Concrete Competence requests this documentation from companies that supply aggregates to the concrete industry.
The Norwegian Council of Concrete Competence issues certificates within the following competence classes:
